David's passion for photography began at the age of 10, following the loss of his father. With only a handful of treasured family photographs to remember him by, David developed a deep appreciation for the power of photography to preserve life's most meaningful moments.During a family holiday, his aunt gave him his first camera, a 126 film camera with just 20 exposures. Knowing that every photograph counted, David carefully considered each shot before pressing the shutter. When the images were developed, he was delighted with the results, and his passion for photography continued to grow.

Recognising his enthusiasm, David's cousin later gifted him a Nikon F camera, which remains one of his most treasured possessions and a symbol of the beginning of his photographic journey. Determined to turn his passion into a profession, David built a successful career in photography, beginning as a photographic laboratory technician. There, he developed specialist expertise in colour correction, print processing, and image density, laying a strong technical foundation that would shape his future work.

As his confidence and experience grew, David expanded into several areas of photography before discovering his true calling in wedding photography. Drawn to working closely with people and capturing genuine emotion, he became known for photographing cultural weddings, documenting each celebration with creativity, care, and authenticity.

Alongside his wedding work, David has enjoyed a varied freelance career, photographing portraits, events, fashion shows, travel, and the natural world. With more than 35 years of industry experience, his work has been featured in newspapers, magazines, and other media publications. Today, David remains passionate about photography and believes it is a privilege to tell people's stories through images. His lifelong dedication to the craft has enabled him to transform meaningful moments into lasting memories, bringing joy to countless individuals and families through the art of photography.
