BIOGRAPHY
My dad passed away when I was at the age of 10 years old and I only had a few pictures of my family which meant a lot to me. This is something that helped inspire my interest in photography and wanting to capture special moments in my life and also for others. My aunt gave me my first camera on a family holiday, as a gift and it was a 126 camera that was a 1/20 exposure film, so I had to be so careful that I only took the best photos I could due to only having a limited amount of clicks. The images came out great, which made me feel even more enthusiastic about taking photos.
I was then offered another camera by my cousin as he knew how much I was becoming passionate about photography and wanting to learn more. It was a Nikon F, which I still have to this day, which means a lot to me as it's part of my journey and how I could capture memories and special moments in my life. My passion and hobby became something I wanted to do as a professional career and step by step I started to reach some milestones and became a lab technician that helped me develop my eye for colour, print development and density. I used this experience to also build my confidence and teach others through the role that I had working in the Labs and made me more interested in exploring other areas of photography.
I then progressed to being a wedding photographer and specialsing in cultural weddings because of my love for working with people and it was a natural transition. I was able to work for clients as a freelancers and continued to enjoy taking photos on my travels around the world, portraits, events, fashion shows, and my love of nature. Now with over 35+ years of industry experience running a businesses and working with the Media, BBC, Aerospace lab, David Gibson and having my work published in the press and media. I know by following my heart and challenging myself really helped in creating a path where I could share my creativity and also bring a smile to others that I interacted and worked with through the art and love of photography.
