NEXTGEN CREATIVE INDUSTRIES DISCOVERY SESSIONS
The NextGen Creative Industries Discovery Sessions deliver a pioneering and scalable approach to addressing barriers to access, diversity, and progression within the creative sector. Aligned with the national vision for inclusive economic growth, the programme empowers underrepresented communities by connecting emerging talent with real-world industry insight, inspiration, and opportunity.
Using a hybrid delivery model that blends online and in-person learning, the sessions are led by industry professionals and designed to create a transformative pipeline into the creative economy. More than a training course, NextGen is a platform for equity, self-expression, and career development. Upon completion, participants receive a Certificate of Achievement recognising their learning, engagement, and progression.
IF YOU SEE THEM, YOU CAN BE THEM!

FEEL INSPIRED!
The Discovery Sessions introduce young people aged 9–16 to the breadth of opportunities available across the creative industries. Each session is engaging, hands-on, and age-appropriate, designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and provide meaningful insight into creative career pathways.
Participants explore a range of creative disciplines through:
-
Industry talks
-
Interactive, practical workshops
-
Collaborative creative activities
Sessions nurture self-expression, teamwork, and creative problem-solving, helping students identify their interests, strengths, and aspirations. Activities are fun and exploratory, introducing creative tools and foundational industry concepts in an accessible and enjoyable way, alongside an introduction to career pathways and industry expectations.
Feedback and Assessment
Students will receive feedback from our industry practitioners to support their development and encourage reflective learning. At the end of each session, participants will be invited to complete a short feedback form to share their experiences and help us continuously improve our programmes.

CREATIVE INDUSTRY SECTORS
You will explore various industry sectors from fashion and design, animation and illustration, theatre and the performing arts, textiles, art and digital design, photography, business, music, film, tv, media and so much more through the sessions to help give you an overview of the sector to further develop your understanding of it from an industry perspective.
Our award-winning online and in-person experience gives young people the chance to explore careers in the creative industries while building confidence, practical skills, and industry know-how. Through a mix of hands-on activities and real-world learning, participants develop skills they can use anywhere, gain valuable experience, and meet professionals who are shaping the creative world.
