SEMINAR SESSION DESCRIPTION

The Seminar will be introduced by one of our Industry Master who will share their career journey and an insight to the industry sector they come from. This will be through a visual presentation that will help inspire and motivate you to explore further ideas of the sector and ask questions at the end of the session to help provide even more insight the industry and how to develop your skills and experience.

The Industry Master will share a visual presentation that will include an insight of their career journey, about the industry and an opportunity where you can ask questions to help support your understanding of standards and practices used and gain further insight into the sector you want to work in.

COMPETITION SESSION DESCRIPTION

The is a competition project that teaches you about the standards and practices used in industry for the creative sector. You will be taught the subject area by the Industry Master through lectures and provided with an industry insight to trends, developments and career opportunities. You will be given a live competition project brief that you need to follow and create some course work to put what you have learnt into practice.

Once the project is completed you will be asked to present your work to the Industry Master and this will be through a visual, written or oral presentation depending on the subject area you are studying. Constructive feedback will be given be the Industry Master to help you with your personal and professional development. You will be introduced to a healthy competition experience that will help develop your employability skills and how to compete with others in the chosen specialism.

The sessions will allow you to build your portfolio and CV with real-life industry briefs and where you will have to show how you can put theory and learning into creating practical solutions, as you would in the Creative Industry.

INTERVIEW SIMULATION SESSION DESCRIPTION

The Interview Simulation has been designed to support you along the journey with expert guidance from the Industry Master, as we know how the experience can be very daunting and a stressful process. We understand that nothing can replicate the real interview; however, the simulation is the closest to the real thing. You will develop and craft a preparation plan that considers the job description. You can practice mock interviews with an industry expert from your chosen sector, ask questions, manage your time effectively and build your confidence to be interview ready.

The sessions will allow you to build your interview techniques, communication and interpersonal skills. This will help you to become more motivated, confident and be able to step into the interview room with with a positive focus and attitude.

You will be assessed by experienced Industry Master and from directorate level and be able to develop relevant employability skills and your confidence and motivation when applying for your career opportunities and aspiration through the session.

The Live Enterprise Start-up session is the perfect place for you to think about your own start up; the experienced team will help you manifest your goals, equip you with essential business acumen and plan a start-up business model.

NEXT GEN PROJECT SESSION DESCRIPTION

The Live Next Gen Project Pitch has been designed to imitate the pitching process for investment. You will conduct a pitch in front of a panel of Industry Master, and expose yourself to the life of an entrepreneur. You will be trying to secure mock investment, answer relevant questions, and supply a transparent business model backed by a strong grasp of your data and financial statistics.

This experience will support your communication and interpersonal skills, work with Industry Master that will help guide you to the next level of your business path and provide with contructive feedback so it will help you make your idea come to reality.

The sessions will allow you to build your confidence, presentation and project management skills. The learning and development mentoring sessions will offer a 1to1 service and group mentoring sessions to individuals that want to be supported by Industry Master from different creative and business specialisms. Through the sessions we will help the you explore different perspectives and be given professional advice and guidance throughout. The sessions will support your learning and employability skills so you can develop your communication and interpersonal skills, problem solving and elevate ideas through the experience.
