STACIE ROSE, MEDIA, ARTIST & LIVE PERFORMANCE - EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT

There are various pathways to entering the music industry, and you will have the opportunity to engage in professional practices, self-promotion, and building a creative artist profile through media. You will learn valuable skills ranging from working in the recording studio to writing and performing. Becoming a music artist relies on personal confidence, talent, and skills, all of which contribute to establishing a brand identity that can gain recognition in an increasingly competitive industry.

 

As an independent performer, songwriter, and self-producer, you will discover how to promote and release your work while creating an innovative portfolio based on experimentation, musicianship, and a strong understanding of the industry. You will explore professional practices, techniques, songwriting, performing, and recording to help build your confidence.

The Music Industry, Industry careers and practices, Performance techniques, Composition and arrangement for visual media, Building a professional network, Performance and Product Development, The Industry Landscape, Writing music and techniques, Live events and stagecraft, Marketing and branding as an artist, Recording studio practices and disciplines, Challenges as a live performance.

For the Music Artist and Live performance sessions, you will be assessed through coursework and theoretical elements that can include:

 

Presentation of verbal or visual

Vocal performance presentation recording

Personal reflective evaluation and development

Composition piece

Online Group session:

2x - 1 hour Lecture Session each week, Learning career preparation, interview and employability skills development

10-minute view of Portfolio/Showreel and feedback with Industry Master (Feedback will be given in written format after the Sessions are complete)

(The sessions are spread over 3 weeks)

 

To enhance your learning experience, we strongly recommend setting aside at least 10 hours of personal study time to supplement the sessions.
