THORA SUSTAINABLE PROJECT FASHION DESIGNER

THORA Sustainable Project is another organic strand that connects with the brand values and ethos of THE HOUSE OF RADHA, which is to create a more sustainable and environmentally conscious business and mindset to make a positive footprint in the world and help support the next generation of creative artists and entrepreneurs.  This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a passionate team with a visionary brand that offers an award winning learning experience and service. The role of the Fashion Designer/Maker You will be creating sustainable and environmentally conscious fashion designs based on using fabric off cuts from the brand collections and sourcing fabrics from other suppliers to then up cycle and make into new designer fashion pieces that can then be sold, worn and cherished by individuals instead of the fabric ending up in landfill.

The market we will be focusing on is the music scene that is influenced by the House and Techno part of the brand.  The fashion designs will be inspired and created for club wear, festival wear, accessories, and bespoke evening wear.  We want to embrace a zero waste style of pattern cutting techniques, using digital programmes to help with the design process and development.  design our fashion collections and pieces. Designs will be created for the unisex, mens, womens market and adaptable wear, that can be worn if you have a physical disability and need easy access into the clothing and make it more inclusive and everyone can enjoy wearing our unique creations.   Another area we want design for is through a multipurpose angle, so you can wear designs in different ways to get more out of the garment than one look.  This will help our customers if they are on a budget, and still make it an enjoyable creative way to embrace our collections.

This will be a place to share a positive experience with a community of likeminded individuals and gain experience and employability skills in the process.  The project will be run through remote and in person interactions with the CEO/Creative Director at its collaborative educational institutions.  Self-motivated and someone who can confidently share and implement their knowledge and ideas within this role and to the team.  We believe our vision promotes leadership skills and helps develop each individual to reach their full potential in a stimulating and fulfilling working environment and culture.
