INDUSTRY PLACEMENT MEMBERSHIP

The placements are based on the fashion, art and music sphere of the brand, and they will provide you with an excellent understanding of the creative industry and business side.  Learn and develop new industry practices, employability skills and techniques that you may not otherwise encounter in an educational setting

APPLICATION PROCESS AND HOW TO APPLY

The application process is super quick and easy. All you have to do is to download the application from the link below and complete it.  Please include a portfolio of work if you are applying for a creative industry placement role. Once the application has been completed then please send everything to our team on contact@thehouseofradha.co.uk.  We will then send you an email with a link that you have to follow to make your membership payment through our website www.thehouseofradha.co.uk.  You will then receive a confirmed date and time for a remote interview.  If there is any reason you cannot make this then please contact us to make further arrangements.

Once you have been offered the remote industry placement you will be asked to send in a character references from your educational institution that you are studying at.  This could be a Lecturer, Programme leader or Mentor that works there and that you know.  The sooner we receive the reference your start date can be confirmed and your membership with THE HOUSE OF RADHA.  If you are unsuccessful at the application or interview stage no refund will be given, however you will be provided with constructive feedback and offered another chance to apply at our next intake of students placements opportunities at a later date.

Our Industry placements are remote, so a good internet signal is a necessity.  You will also need access to a laptop or desktop as this will not be supplied.  If you are going to be working through a creative role then you will need to have access to using the Adobe CC such as illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign and any 3D programmes if doing product design development.  Microsoft office is also the software that will be used throughout this experience.

HOW WE ASSESS YOUR APPLICATION

We will take your whole application into account before we accept you on The Creative Industries Masterclass Programme (TCIMCP) Industry Placement and freelance role. Our assessment process includes:

- Whether your qualifications meet our entry requirements

- Subject-specific abilities, personal, professional and experience

- A Creative portfolio of work if applying for a creative role

- Short remote interview with our employability team

Through the remote industry placement, we create an action plan that will also include areas that you want to develop through the industry experience that would help you acquire the employability skills for the career path you are interested in taking.  We will also offer constructive feedback detailing your overall performance by your line manager to help support your personal and professional development.

It would be advantageous to have some experience, however we will still be happy to assess your application on the grounds of education, interests and understanding of the subject area if you don’t.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

If you are coming through an educational institution or direct learning pathway we will want you to have a minimum foundation level of education or equivalent industry experience.  Our industry placements are in English, so if this is not your first language, we would recommend that you have at least 5.5 IELTS or equivalent, or have completed your last two years of school through English.
